* Click View, Toolbars, Text formatting to view a text formatting toolbar. This toolbar will let you choose fonts, add bold, underline, or italics, change text alignment, or other features for text in the current field and current record. It does not affect other fields or records.
* Click Format, Size or Format, Font, or any other Format command to change text formatting.
* Click View, Text Ruler to view a text ruler over each text box. You can use this text ruler to set tabs.
* Click Ctrl-Tab to tab within any field. (The regular Tab key will move to the next field.)
* Click Edit, Spelling to run a spell check. The spell check looks just at the current layout. (This is important to remember in the Work-Based Learning Plan file, since every page of the plan is a different layout.)
* If the spelling dictionary is not available, click Edit, Spelling, Select Dictionaries. Look for the main dictionary (which is USENGLSH.MPR in the System folder) and the user dictionary (which is user.upr in the same folder). The System folder should be in the MassSTW2001 folder. The user dictionary contains words that you add or that I have added, such as city names or common abbreviations like WBL or WIB.
* To move or copy text from one field to another you can use the Edit, Copy and Edit, Paste functions on the menu bar. Or use Ctrl-C to copy and Ctrl-V to paste. These functions are the same in most Windows applications, such as Microsoft Word.
* You can also highlight text and use the mouse to drag it to another location. For this function to work, the "enable drag and drop text selection" must be selected in the application preferences box. (Click Edit, Preferences, Application if you need to change this setting.)
